I'm seeing stripes...

I'm not hallucinating... I'm actually seeing stripes everywhere I go! In shop windows, on walkers by and in celeb magazines... and I love them!

So the minute I got my hands on some cash I dragged little ass into topshop and bought myself a pair of striped black and red  hotpants which I'm in love with! They remind me of The Nightmare Before Christmas!.. hehe... I wore them out and decided to go for a rock chick look by pairing them with a Jimi Hendrix top I also got in Topshop...

Sorry about the drunken photo... twas quite a messy night!
They're so wearable too! You can wear them with a plain black top and heels on a night out for a more simple look or even wear them with black tights and a big cardigan during the day. Click here to see them in detail.
I had a browse and found some more striped clothes that can add some edge to your wardrobe... click the links to see them in detail...

Feather ear cuffs...

Just a quick review...
My first post on this blog was about feather hair extensions and how much I wanted them!
Well I found a much easier alternative.. (Or so I thought)
Feathered ear cuffs... how handy? Just pop it on your ear and there you go!

So I bought this baby in Topshop and... wait for it... it cost me twenty five euro!
I couldn't help myself... it was love at first glance!
I wore it on a night out and it looked so brilliant!... and my disgust... before I even got to the club I realized it was gone. The thoughts of twenty five euro gone down the drain pretty much put a downer on my night!
I'm pretty sure everyone on Grafton street later that night thought I was a drunken weirdo walking up and down shining the light on my phone squealing 'I'VE LOST MY FEATHERS!'
So if you're tempted to spend a fortune on a nice feathered ear cuff... I recommend you ditch the idea and go for a long , dangly pair of feathered earrings instead!

Holy Jewels!!!...

I'm not the holiest person in the world, but I really love holy Jewellery!
Weather it's wearing rosary beads to trend up a plain dress or piling on the holy bracelets that you buy in church gift shops... In my opinion there's nothing better than crosses and holy imagery to funk up an outfit!

This may look like a lot but I've plenty more of these babies! (I don't wear them all together like that don't worry!)

I've done some browsing on ASOS and found a few beautiful pieces, most of which are in the clearance sale...
Have a look...

These dangly gold cross earrings are perfect to add that edgy touch to an outfit. They cost E15.38 or £12.00

We've all heard of the amazing, Dublin based designer John Rocha... But have you heard of his daughter? Apparently the 25 year old beauty is following in daddy's footsteps and has recently designed a small line for Topshop! Her signature style is a tailored look with a modern spin..
The designer has said;

"I am excited to be collaborating with Topshop again. The opportunity to create something accessible for all girls with my signature is one I cannot pass up."

Here are some of the pieces from her new Topshop collection...

The line is simple and shows Simones personal style. The clothes have a masculine, tailored look with small feminine details such as the white shirt/dress with pink mesh sleeves. The boyish trousers are simple and very wearable and it's hard to tell from the picture but the second coat has black knitted sleeves. The price range is from £75 to £400.
If you want to see these clothes in more detail check them out at

Bitchy Brad!!...

Think back to 2005, when Brad ditched the blonde bomb shell Jennifer Aniston for the beautiful brunette Angelina Jolie.... Old news right?...

Apparently Brad Pitt has dissed the lovely Jennifer!
This week he told Parade Magazine;

'I spent the nineties trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony. I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic. It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself.'

He continued by saying...

'I think that marriage [to Jen] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend that marriage was something that it wasn't.'

'One of the greatest, smartest things I ever done was give my kids Angie as their mom... she is such a great mom. Oh man I'm so happy to have her.'

Bit harsh there Brad, he managed to  diss their marriage and rub his new, happy marriage in her face in one article! Brads response was that it 'grieves him' that people misinterpreted his interview and covered up his tracks by saying;

'Jen is an incredibly giving, loving and hilarious woman who remains my friend. The point I was trying to make was not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull myself, and that I am responsible for.'

I don't know if I believe him... What do you think?
Did Brad forget to think before he spoke?... was he genuinely misunderstood?... or, as reporters have been saying... was it all a huge publicity stunt to promote his up and coming film Moneyball..?

Marry me Banksy!!..

Banksy Is an English graffiti artist/painter/political activist/the best man in the world! lol
His graffiti is famous for it's dark humor and contraversal anti-government messages.
He's been around for years but does his work in disguise and has a tight team behind him so that his identity has remained a secret. After purchasing his book I've become obsessed with some of his work, So I thought I'd share it here...

The Palestine Segregation wall
The wall began being built by the Isreali Government, it's main purpose is to separate the Isreali and Palestinian population to stop the friction between the two. The wall is guarded by armed guards in watchtowers. It is three times the height of the Berlin wall and will eventually run for over 700km. For Banksy this was the perfect place to Graffiti.

Where does Banksys Fascination with rats come from? He explains it in his book...

'They exist without permission. They are hated, hunted and persecuted. They live in quiet desperation amongst the filth. And yet they are capable of bringing entire civilisations to their knees.'

'If you are dirty, insignificant and unloved then rats are the ultimate role model.'

The Tate
'When you go to an art gallery you are simply a tourist looking at the trophy cabinet of a few millionaires.'
Banksy believes that everyone should have a say when it comes to art. This is why he (or one of his people) strolled into the Tate, London, and the Louevre, Paris, wearing a hat and a fake beard, and hung up some of his own work.

Among some of the paintings he hung up was one of his take on Andy Warhols Cambells soup can.

Andy Warhols Cambells soup can.

Elephant in the room
For his exhibition in LA, Banksy painted a live elephant with non toxic dye from head to toe in red and gold paint to match the wallpaper of a sitting room set up to represent how poverty is widely ignored. This caused uproar from animal rights activists and headlined newspapers everywhere making Banksy more famous than ever.

Ten pound notes
Another prank/piece of art Banksy created was replicating thousands of £10 pound notes and throwing them into the crowds at various music festivals. Instead of reading 'Bank of England' the notes said 'Banksy of England' and the queens face was replaced by the face of Princess Diana.

I'll leave you with some of his work... enjoy! X

Check out his website here.
