Feeling Beautiful In The Face Of Cancer...

A lovely lady called Jackie Clarke got in contact with me a couple of weeks ago.
She asked if she could do a guest post on my blog about still feeling beautiful, even if you have cancer.
An average of 35 000 people a day around the world are diagnosed with Cancer and we all know someone weather it be a family member, a friend or a colleague at work, so it's important to let these women know that they are still beautiful, no matter what.

Here is the article by Jackie Clarke, I hope you ladies like it.

It’s been a few months since the prognosis. Mesothelioma, the doctor said. You didn’t even know what it meant at the time. Now you do. It’s cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. The radiation and chemotherapy wrecked your body. You’re hair’s falling out. You feel weak, sick and ugly. Thinking back to the way you were before the diagnosis, you didn’t feel any of those things. You felt strong, beautiful and comfortable in your own skin. How can you get that feeling back?

No matter what the situation, women can feel beautiful, even after a cancer prognosis. It may seem like it’s never going to happen, but it will. You just have to empower yourself to feel that way. Cancer isn’t going to hold you back. Take charge of your own life, and fashion is a great way to do it.

What is it about the right outfit that makes you feel pretty? Something about that dress the hugs all the right curves and makes you look like a million dollars. Just because you have cancer doesn’t mean you to have to dress in sweats and t-shirts forever. The way you dress helps you feel beautiful, no matter what.

Fit is a big part of how fashion makes you feel pretty. If something fits your body well, it looks better than if it fits badly. Make sure your clothes fit your body and you’ll feel more beautiful and confident.

The type of clothes that make you feel pretty vary from woman to woman, but a skirt can help you feel more feminine when you’re feeling worse than usual. For a romantic look, pick something long and floral. If you want to feel sexy, try a fitted skirt or something with an A-line that hugs all the right places.

For a more commanding look, you may want to go with a nice pair of pants. Wide legged slacks harken back to the 1940’s and can make you feel like an old time movie star. Or you can try some skinny jeans or cigarette pants to show off your curves. Whatever makes you feel comfortable and pretty!

Don’t forget the shoes! They top off any outfit. Choose a pair of heels, sandals or boots that match your outfit for the perfect finishing look. The color of the shoes can even compliment your outfit, even if it doesn’t totally match. For instance, you can wear a pair of green shoes if your skirt has green in the pattern.

The most important thing is that you feel beautiful and confident in your own skin. No matter what, cancer can’t take that away from you.
